Singapore politiks is damn freaking disgusting!

Look at poor Mr Andrew Kuan, president-hopeful but soon-to-be another casualty in the freaking cmi politiks that is Singapore.

Tonight's 10pm Chinese news has a video cutting of the JTC's CEO's reporters interview where he says that andrew kuan was not a good CFO and JTC asked him many times to resign from the company after his annual appraisal. The news program also showed a telephone interview with the ceo of HYFLUX oliver lum where she also says that Andrew kuan is not that competent as a cfo and he shldnt join hyflux since he knows he is going to join the presidential elections. Then the news program ended by showing our good old people's president Nathan having a jog at east coast park and many well-wishers went up to him to encourage him and have a chat with him. HEY MAN. THIS IS POLITIKS AT ITS STINKIEST.

Everyday i flip the newspaper, got lawyer sue andrew kuan for defamation, got PM Lee Hsien Loong say that Nathan is better, etc. WHY CANT U ALL LEAVE THE MAN IN PEACE AND HAVE A CLEAN ELECTION?

I mean, yeah, we all like Nathan, but for Chen's sake can we have a clean and fair election? The ruling party's bigwigs all have something to say abt andrew kuan, the press likes to aim at him too and the news program too. All these is damn obvious, even to a bo-chup bystander like chen.

I love singapore, everything abt singapore. But can we be a bit more ... hmm.. i cant think of an appropriate verb to describe it. To be in the public spotlight and run for office as president or wat, u must be whiter than white. Say Chen (assuming i am 50 yrs old) were to run for president, the press will dig out info abt me like i used to skip lectures in university, got caught for plagarism in cs1101 lab, surfed porn in my home pc and that i am a communist (the most stupid piece of crap i have heard, mostly by the ignorant or the plain stupid) etc. Then they will infer that i'm not an honest person, i am a pervert and therefore i am not fit to be a president. BUT BUT BUT all these happened 30 yrs ago. U get wat i mean? To be a president in singapore, u need to be schooled in the right schools (its no secret that majority of the impt pple in cabinet / ministers are either from the anglo-chinese or rafflesian family) or worked in the right organizations (NTUC NTUC NTUC, maybe temasek holding, or other govt-linked companies). Best if u are a union leader from NTUC (the late mr ong teng cheong, s r nathan).
