Went there yesterday morning to pick up some stuffs such as an Audigy Gamer sound card (it has firewire, which i need for DV conversion). The Gamer card costs $49 because it's refurbished. Cheap cheap.
Also, i picked up a pair of creative speakers for $19. It a normal 2 piece speakers without sub woofers. And a wireless router + ethernet modem kit as i always seem to help friends set up wireless networks. It's kinda handy to have a set of equipment with me. Picked up a set of wireless keyboard and mouse combo kit too for $49. Been lusting for one of these for quite some time.
The queue there is stupendous. at 12pm (1hr after openng hour), the queues in all 10 lanes of the checkout counters are at least 40 people long! Assuming each person in the queue spends on avg $100 (very conservative estimate), there's 100 x 10 x 40 = $40,000 of sales there. Assuming they all clear up in 1hr, which is also very S.L.O.W., in 7 hours of opening a day, for 3 days, Creative brings in 40000 x 7 x 3 = $840k of revenue!
Not to mention the number of mp3 players they sold... i really dislike the ipod and some of the people whom i see using the ipod. Go creative! (regular blog readers will recognize that i am sprouting some rubbish again). Oh yeah, soon to come, an IPOD special for u readers. Am in the process of compiling some images for u all to see... =p
