unless you count the few sporadic "quick" blog-this links that i clicked on.

Didnt have much time to do the things that i like as even though sch has just reopened and we only have lectures this week, i have been working full time in my dept NUS enterprise. On every non-lecture hours, i will be in my office, working hard. hehe. really. Cos Enterprise day is coming and our whole dept is really busy.

And i'm really irritated. There's this colleague, let call her flower. Flower is the secretary of my dept, she's like the big shot in my dept cos she's super "old bird" and worked in nus for some 20 years liao. SHe's also an IT idiot, and moron and what ever u call her, its probably appropriate =p. Flower has this tendency to shout "jc jc come here" at the slightest "problem" with her computer / internet / office/ excel / outlook.

And, whenever i teach her something, for eg, mail merge using Word and Excel. After teaching her, she would insist that i write down a proper procedure complete with screen shots to teach her. WHICH I DID, and sent to her. She saved the Word file that was just "mail merged". Then upon opening the file again, she's presented with a normal Word screen asking if she would like to reload the same excel file to merge with Word. "jc jc come here" flows out of her mouth again... I silently muttered "WTF" and pretended to rush to her cubicle. Alas, there's no problem at al. I just need to click Tools --> mail merge wizard to run the Mail merge function again.

Flower complained that i didnt teach her properly and that my procedure pdf file wasnt complete. WTF. Ignorance and stupidity cannot be cured man. And she got the cheek to say that the prev student helper QC always write a proper procedure for her.

Ok, all these issues, i wouldnt be angry if she asked me just this once AND NOT BOTHER ME WITH THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN. The prob is, when the same thing occurs again, SHE WOULD CALL ME AGAIN TO DO FOR HER. Confirm plus chop plus guaranttee. How infuriating.

I'm really pleased with myself these days. Been working hard (earned 300+ so far for January!) even though sch has started, helping my dad in his biz and i'm showing more concern for my family members. Yesterday i help my dad deliver some laundry to his customer who lives near my old 5-rm flat just across the street from my house. Nostaglic sia. I used to play in that playground with my friends after tuition... those were the times when i was the... heheh.. smartest in my tuition group.

Helped gabriel's friend daniel fixed up his computer, windows and all that nonsense, and he paid me $10. Nothing much as i dun really like to collect $$ for friends, though i would refuse to do for free too, as i got my own things to settle and the GPL license does not apply to me.

I installed Xandros Linux on my old desktop, installed the psc750 that johsen gave me to it, and managed to share the printer with my windows machines. My print server is up! I'm trying to share the scanner too. Apparently linux can share scanner. For windows, u need to purchase a commercial software to share scanner. Oh, i just realised HP and Epson has the best support for scanners and printers in LINUX.
