Over these things:
1) changing of course: yes, i changed successfully but a few doubts over the modules that i am supposed to take next sem lingers.
Confirmed taking these:
MA1101R Linear Algebra
CS2104 Programming Languages (cs3212 cannot subst)
LSMXXXX (still dunno what can, what cannot, awaiting SOC's undergraduate office's reply, knn)
CSXXXX (maybe computer security)
CSXXXX (maybe networks II)
So that makes 5 mods next sem. Waiting clarification for ST1232 as i wanted to be sure it's allowed for me. If not, i need ST2131 =(
2) Tuition fees: as i changed course after 2nd sem, i need to pay tuition fee full sum of 22k a year (usual 5.8k a year). Its for 1 sem, meaning its 11k plus lo. Now, the problem is that bank loan (80%) can only be taken on the subsidized rate (aka max 2.2k a sem). Meaning i need to find a additional 9k now lo. Yes, i knew it when i'm applying for the transfer, but i do have my reasons for transfering. Worst to worst, i'll tell my mom, or i'll argh. cant think of any way out short of quitting sch.
3) Insurance. I seriously considered being a prudential agent under my sec sch's friend's brother Alvin. He's some high flyer in Prudential, earning some 167k per annum WHILE IN NTU. Was that close to signing up with him, but dad slammed the door on it. And a friend i met yesterday (zhengyang), reminded me why insurance is not that fantastic career. He reminded me of the rich dad's cash flow quadrant: E, S, B, I, and why insurance is in S quadrant but never in B and I, where the big money is.
So, not going into insurance, but time to wake up..
Bz now in work. write later.
